What is Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

Conversion Rate Optimisation in its most basic form is the process of finding the people visiting your website who are leaving without buying your product or service (the bounce rate), it is the art of increasing sales leads generated through your website without actually increasing the traffic; the idea is to concentrate on your existing audience (or website traffic) and drive them to the towards the content most relevant to them, such as products or services they may be interested in, filling out an enquiry form, or signing up for a mailing list or news letter.

How does Conversion Rate Optimisation Work?

An example of by far one of the most effective forms of conversion optimisation is by presenting visitors with to variations of a web page, then comparing the results of your visitors activity (the conversions) on each of the pages.
